About The Branch Line

This Branch line runs between The Shakespeare Line (Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon) and The Chiltern Mainline (Birmingham to London Marylebone).

The line has a single track with no passing places.

There are just two unmanned stations - Bearley and Claverdon.

There is a single early morning London Midland train from Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford via Solihull and Lapworth which then calls at these two stations.

Other trains serving this line are provided by Chiltern Railways and run between Leamington Spa and Hatton to Stratford.

SLPG Interest

Although the Shakespeare Line Promotion Group primary interest is train services along the Shakespeare Line, the Group is also interested in all rail services to Stratford. The Group promotes services on the Hatton-Bearley branch and in particular, campaigns for better services for the stations at Claverdon and Bearley
