Train service alterations in January 2020

Saturday 11th January 2020 – Sunday 12th January 2020:

Due to Network Rail engineering works in the Neasden area (London), the line between Marylebone and Wembley Stadium/Harrow-on-the-Hill is closed all day. No Chiltern Railways trains will operate into or out of Marylebone. A heavily-amended timetable will operate on all Chiltern Railways routes, and most journeys will be affected. Passengers may need to travel via alternative routes, on other operator’s services, London Underground services and/or rail replacement bus services Journey times will be considerably longer than usual.

Passengers travelling between London – Oxford, Banbury and north thereof are advised to travel to/from London PADDINGTON via Oxford using GWR services, in both directions.

Chiltern Railways train services will operate as follows (in both directions):

  • 1 per hour Oxford – Banbury – stations to Birmingham Moor Street.
  • 1 per hour High Wycombe – stations to Birmingham Moor Street.
  • 1 per hour Oxford – stations to West Ealing via Bicester Village and High Wycombe. Connecting trains to/from London PADDINGTON at West Ealing.
  • 1 per hour Aylesbury – stations to West Ealing via High Wycombe. Connecting trains to/from London PADDINGTON at West Ealing.
  • 1 per hour Oxford – stations to West Ruislip via Bicester Village and High Wycombe.
  • Periodic service Leamington Spa – stations to Stratford Upon Avon.
  • 1 per hour Amersham – stations to Aylesbury.

Rail Replacement bus services will operate as follows (in both directions):

  • 1 per hour Aylesbury Vale Parkway – Aylesbury.
  • 1 per hour Amersham – Beaconsfield.
